One day National workshop on Supply Chain Management was organized by MAIT on November 18th 2010 in the institute’s auditorium. The event was inaugurated by the chief guest Lt. Gen. D.V. Kalra (PVSM, AVSM). He emphasized on the need of  Supply Chain and logistic management. Mr. Alok Agrawal, Chairman Steering committee, MAIT gave his valuable and inspiring speech on supply chain management and its scope in future.
Another speaker Mr. S.K. Puri (Ex General Manager, BHEL & ED, SC & L, Management, Noida) presented some valuable facts on supply chain management. He explained SCM as the "design, planning, execution, control, and monitoring of supply chain activities with the objective of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure, leveraging worldwide logistics, synchronizing supply with demand and measuring performance globally."
Mr. Sachin Dhamija (Senior Manager, DTDC) shared his experiences on Green supply chain management. Dr. Prof. Shailendra Dubey from IMS, Ghaziabad contributed his experience on outsourcing in supply chain management. Another eminent speaker Prof. Rajeev Sharma, (Consultant SCM) and Mr. Manuraj Sharma (Consultant and Trainer) gave valuable speeches on value chain and application of IT in SCM. This whole programme was Organised under the great supervision of Patrons, MAIT, Mr. Alok Agarwal, (Chairman- Steering Committee), Director MAIT, Prof.(Air Cdr) L.K. Verma (HOD MBA), Mr. Sanjeev Layek and other Members from Department of Management.
